Fresno

Introduction

Background:

Basic movement between body, arm, and foot. It was created by Boogaloo Sam.

A move, which defines all that is essential in Popping (also used in electric boogaloo). The Fresno can be performed in various ways as only the following requirements exist. In a fresno, the dancer moves side-to-side doing a hit on each turn with the leg and arm of the side the dancer has moved to.

Goal:

Be able to do the movement of Fresno

Watch the Fresno video and learn the movement!

TIPS:

When you do the pop, try to move the gravity to your initiated pop leg.  You will find a different feel when you do it!!!

Wrap up

Fresno is the fundamental movement in popping, it is not only a transition to another move, but also a key move in dancing. Hence, practice Fresno as much as you can before advancing to another movement!
